In this training you will learn how to

1) create your GMB (Google My Business) profile and optimize if for your unique keywords and business niche. Even if you already have a site, you’ll want to use this training to update your keyword and services strategy.

2) You will learn basic strategies for working with Local SEO, increasing your Local SEO presence and links. The training will provide you with tools to track your local presence and give you tips & tricks for keeping it consistent and up to date.

3) You will learn basic tips for building your on-site SEO. We’ll cover keyword strategies and their use in page titles, navigation titles, and headers. We’ll address the importance of NAP + hours and provide ways to keep it consistent across Local SEO. We’ll also address basic copy strategies to keep your site interesting as well as relevant.

Bring your computer for live demonstrations with your Squarespace website and your GMB

After signup to course, you will be provided with a PDF with instructions on how to get signed up for GMB (if you haven’t already) and a reminder to have access to your squarespace account.

Training provided by Jennifer Perkins

Jennifer is the primary provider at Jennifer Perkins MFT Counselling & Psychotherapy. She believes strongly that a rising tide lifts all boats and is passionate about empowering business owners to take control of their marketing and websites so they don’t have to rely on outside web developers who don’t really know the market.

Her super power is web site design, development and especially website SEO. She started designing and optimizing websites in 2015 while living in San Francisco after going into private practice and recognizing a need. She is a member of Squarespace Circle and has designed and SEO’d therapists sites in Oakland, San Francisco and Sydney. She only uses her powers for good. She will probably work with you to get your site up and running because she is a designer and scientist at heart and needs to keep that side of her brain busy.

She also works with positive psychology and chances are she will be challenging and motivating you to create the business you’ve always wanted. She’s fearless and super motivated but not in a creepy and annoying way.

She grew up in Las Vegas and still finds swimming in bodies of water without an attached hotel disorienting. She runs out of the water during shark sirens.
